Nicolonias is the pseudonym of multidisciplinary artist and visionary professional Nicolas Januario (he/him).
Nicolas specializes in science communication, event media, and nonprofit technical services, with hands-on experience supporting leading academic, biomedical, and international research organizations.
Currently, he provides communications and multimedia support for the Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing (CAAT), translating complex biomedical and regulatory science into clear, engaging visual and audio content. His work amplifies CAAT’s global mission by supporting educational materials, webinars, and digital communications to make technical research information accessible to diverse audiences.
In parallel, he also works as a Video Editor for the Exposome Moonshot Forum, where he provides end-to-end video post-production and media support for high-profile scientific convenings and hybrid events.
He has previously worked as an Independent Contractor for the International Microphysiological Systems Society (iMPSS), delivering comprehensive event media support for the inauguration of a new scientific initiative. His contributions include on-site event production and organization, secure file management, event photography, speaker coordination, and the curation and editing of recorded presentations for post-event dissemination.
Alongside his professional work, he served as Co-President of the Music Technology Club at Loyola University Chicago, organizing weekly meet-ups and supporting students interested in audio production, independent music, and creative technology.
